Be a Part of Something Extraordinary

Partner with Becoming Independent (BI) and help to change the world for people with developmental disabilities.

BI is a great social investment. Here's why:

Our leadership team: Staff as well as the Board of Directors are capable, active stewards. BI is thriving under their leadership, despite a series of devastating budget cuts.

The majority of your donation (90 cents per dollar last year) goes directly to provide services for people with disabilities. Administrative overhead is, on average, only 10%.

How can I contribute?

How will my contribution be used?

The government funding we receive does not cover all the services our program participants need for the very things most of us take for granted. Services such as reading instruction to help pass a driving test, safe transporation after hours and job coaching to help set the stage for success at work are all services that depend on private contributions from people like you.

Becoming Independent is an organizational partner with Community Foundation Sonoma County. Together, we can provide you and your family with the financial and planned giving expertise to define your charitable goals now and into the future.
