Employing People with Disabilities

Employing people with disabilities makes good business sense.

Becoming Independent's employment programs provide employers with recruitment and staffing services that specialize in assisting job seekers with disabilities. Our trained staff will work with you to assess your staffing needs and then recruit an applicant who matches your specific requirements. BI has a pool of dependable and motivated applicants interested in both full and part time positions. Once the new employee(s) are hired, Becoming Independent will assist you and your staff to provide initial training/orientations and assist with on-site support needs. The length of the on-site support training depends on the needs of the employer and the new employee.

Benefits to hiring through BI:

  • BI's services are provided at no cost to the employer
  • Provides prescreened productive, dependable employees
  • Reduces recruitment, turnover & training costs
  • Convenient ongoing personnel support
  • Diversifies the workforce
